The Zeiss Batis 135mm F2.8 is a professional, mid-length telephoto prime designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, such as the A7 series. 135mm is a perfect length for head and shoulders portrait photography, including studio work. Characterized as an apochromat, the Sonnar optical design helps to virtually eliminate chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, and also benefits overall sharpness and clarity. Additionally, T* anti-reflective coatings have been applied that virtually eliminates lens flare and ghosting when photographing in strong lighting conditions.
Complementing the optical performance, the Batis 135mm f/2.8 also houses a unique OLED display on the top of the lens barrel to indicate focus distance and depth of field range, allowing you to quickly recognizing your focusing parameters. Advanced auto-focus, in which a linear motor delivers quick and quiet focusing performance. Additionally, a first for Zeiss an optical image stabilizer is also featured to minimize camera shake for sharper hand-held shooting.
An ideal portrait-length lens, the Zeiss 135mm prime has been designed specifically for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, however it can also be used on APS-C models where it will provide a 202.5mm equivalent focal length.
A robust, outstanding performer with a dust and weather-sealed construction benefits using the lens in inclement weather conditions.
