Build quality is superb, and image quality is excellent. It is much sharper than the Tamron 150-600mm which I have subsequently sold, as the Sigma is clearly a better lens than the Tamron in every way, most importantly in outright image quality. There is no other lens currently on the market that are as good at this for flexibility, and long reach on a full frame camera, and certainly not in this price bracket. The value for money is really rather good for a 600mm lens of this quality. The zoom locks and focus limiter are very useful, focus speed is fast, and the image stabilisation works very well. Image quality at 600mm at f8 (which is where most use will be) is superb, much better than I was expecting. The ability to tweak and customise the lens with the USB dock is great. I suggest buying the dock at the same time. Highly recommended.
