Fujifilm Release New Cameras & A Lens, Due Spring 2017
The first announcement from Fujifilm is the new X-T20 – a stylish, powerful yet lightweight mirror-less digital camera with tilting touchscreen LCD
The X-T20 offers a 24.3 megapixel sensor and brand new image processor which delivers high speed AF, fast start-up and 4K video with Film Simulation modes. Available in two colours, black and silver. First stocks due late February.
Second announcement concerns the release of a new Fujinon lens, the XF 50mm F2 R WR.
The lens features a focal length equivalent to 76mm (in the 35mm film format) and a maximum aperture of F2.0 for beautiful bokeh. The compact and stylish optic also offers high speed AF and weighs just 200g.
The XF50mmF2 R WR is a mid-telephoto lens that delivers the very best results from Fujifilm’s unique X-TRANS CMOS sensor. Its compact and lightweight design features 9 elements in 7 groups, including one aspherical ED lens, and has an inner focusing system*, driven by a stepping motor** for fast and silent autofocusing.
Metal parts are used extensively on the exterior for a stylish, robust design with a premium feel, while the aperture and focusing rings have been designed to be comfortable and easy to use. The lens is also weather and dust resistant, and operates in temperatures as low as -10°C, making it ideal for shooting in a variety of conditions. Due this spring with a competitive price tag of £449.
Finally, Fujifilm announces the X100F - the powerful new addition to the X Series range of Premium Compact Cameras.
Small yet powerful, the X100F features the latest 24.3 megapixel sensor and processor, and further evolution of the renowned Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder, which can switch between optical and electronic viewfinders.
The fourth-generation release of the series, X100F, features the latest image sensor and high-speed image processing engine to deliver the highest level of image quality and mobility in the series. This is the ultimate in premium compact digital camera, equipped with the Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder of enhanced convenience. While maintaining the elegant design that has proven to be popular, the new camera has been developed in pursuit for easy operability, reflecting requests from users of previous models. Available this Spring, £1249, in Black or Silver finish.
