Terms & Conditions
Our Terms and Conditions comply with UK legislation, including the Distance Selling Regulations and are designed to ensure that all our customers can shop easily and with confidence with UK Optics Ltd T/AS UK Digital. As such, any disputes shall be adjudicated according to the laws of England and Wales.
We endeavour to ensure product availability on all our advertised goods, however, in the unlikely event that your chosen item is unavailable we will contact you ASAP by email with the expected delivery dates.
We maintain that, by confirming your order, you unreservedly accept our conditions of sale, having read them. All statements, warranties in our terms of trading are additional to your statutory rights.
You have the right to cancel your order with us, in accordance with Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This can be done by either contacting our sales department on 01200 444744 or via email, email@example.com. The period in which you can exercise the right to return is 14 days beginning the day after your goods are received. The goods should be returned with in 14 days of a cancellation request and in reasonable condition (no signs of use such as scratched, marks etc.) and with any "free" items. Returns shall be shipped by to our trading address; UK Digital, Unit 8 Deanfield Court, Link 59 Business Park, Clitheroe, Lancashire. UK. BB7 1QS.
All returns are subject to the following conditions, except where the goods are faulty or incorrectly described on the website.
Your product must be complete, including all accessories, in its original box / packaging and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging). We may accept returns within the returns period that do not fully comply with this requirement, but this will be subject to agreeing a restocking fee to cover the loss that we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling the item(s).
Software, memory cards and DVDs can only be accepted if still sealed. This policy is to avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988. All opened software is exempt from return under the terms of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Software that arrives damaged or is physically faulty may be returned under our normal returns policy.
A proof of purchase must be supplied and any free items wich came with the order must be returned.
We will not refund any items that have been specially ordered to your individual specification or personalised.
We reserve the right to have the goods inspected by a technician prior to refund. Please Note: UK Digital does not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.
Refunds for returns under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, cancellation of contract will be made with in 14 days after receipt of the item(s). The cost of the items including the normal / standard shipping cost will be refunded. Express or shipping costs other than the normal / standard shipping cost will not be refunded. Return shipping charges will not be paid / refunded by UK Digital, it is the responsibility of the recipient to pay for any return shipping charges.
In the unlikely event your order is damaged in transit please contact us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please retain the original packaging for returning your order.
If you suspect a fault with your product please email us on email@example.com. We will then either assess the possible fault ourselves or may direct you to the respective manufacturers helpline. This initial call may prevent any unnecessary return to us saving you, the customer the return delivery cost should the product be found in full working order. In such as case will reserve the right to return the goods to you with a £10 administration charge. However if there is an obvious defect and/ or under the manufacturers recommendation it needs to be returned, please notify us on firstname.lastname@example.org, and a returns reference will be given to you.
Within 28 days of purchase, if your goods are faulty we will offer a prompt replacement or refund of the relevant components. This does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse. A replacement will only be issued when the faulty item provided has undergone an initial technical examination. In certain cases we may at our discretion send to the manufacturers for a full examination. We must be notified of the fault within 28 days of purchase and proof of purchase MUST be provided.
If your purchase develops a fault after 28 days and within its standard warranty period (usually 12 months), we will ask you to either return the goods to ourselves or direct to the manufacturers. We generally recommend to return goods direct to the manufacturers as this will be quicker. Any goods that are faulty will be replaced or repaired free of charge. PLEASE NOTE: Any repairs must be accompanied by your original purchase receipt / invoice.
It may take up to 4-6 weeks for repairs to be undertaken, depending on the manufacturer and complexity of the problem.
If you return your goods complete and with in 7 days of the purchase period, we will exchange it or refund your money.
No refunds will be given for any items that were specified / marked as 'Special Order'.
Please note that software packages may only be returned unopened.
Please package any returned items carefully and return them, for your own protection via a recorded and insured method of carriage. Royal Mail Special / Recorded Delivery is recommended. The cost of returned items is the responsibility of you the customer unless the goods are found to be faulty or delivered to you in error. A maximum of £7 can be credited towards any delivery costs incurred. A technical examination may be carried out prior to any replacement or refund.
It is your responsibility to check your consignment, if any incorrect goods are supplied you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. After this period mistakes cannot be rectified.
All products are covered by the manufacturers 12 month warranty from the date of invoice unless otherwise stated.
Availability of Goods
While all care is taken to ensure appropriate stock levels, all products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at anytime without prior notice. If we do not supply the goods for any reason you will be notified by email and no charge will be taken.
UK Optics Ltd T/AS UK Digital will not be responsible for compensating you for any losses you may suffer if goods are not supplied, deemed faulty, damaged in transit or not of a kind foreseeable by the supplier.
Should you require a duplicate invoice, there may be an additional administration fee of £10. Duplicates will only be made available after payment has been received.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
UK Optics Ltd T/AS UK Digital agrees to supply and you agree to purchase goods subject to these terms and conditions, which shall supercede any terms and conditions on any purchase order or document that you submit to UK Digital. All goods remain property of UK Digital until full and final payment has been received. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Please note that we practice a policy of continual review and reserve the right to change the above terms and conditions at any time without notice.
UK Digital accepts Government/ Local Authority Purchase Orders. They must be submitted with official paperwork and relevant contact details by FAX to 01200 444 225 or email to email@example.com. We reserve the right to reject any incompete orders.
Payment must be made by Cheque or BACS (Bank Transfer) within 30 days of receipt of goods.
