Sony Cyber-shot HX100V Digital Camera Due April 2011
The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX100V is a new 'bridge' type camera. A relatively compact all in one camera with a superior 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and a huge 30x optical zoom lens (27-810mm). The CMOS sensor in the HX100V is designed for speed and flexability, giving superior results even in difficult light conditions and allows multiple images (up to 10 frames per second) in one burst. Additionally, the camera has a Bionz powerful processor which ensures ultra fast, near SLR responsiveness and low noise capabilities.
The Cybershot HX100V also features both 3D and Intelligent sweep panorama modes. Sweep panorama works by automatically combining a burst of images to create ultra wide angle images, even when subjects in the frame are moving. In the 3D version it captures twin photos, one for the right eye and one for the left eye, giving even more dramtic results.
Having such a long telephoto zoom lens normally provides problems with blurry image due to camera shake, not so with the Sony HX100V. It has a superb active optical steadyshot mode which compensates for handheld camera movement even when shooting video or when taking images in difficult light situations.
Composition and review of your photographs is even easier with the excellent 3.0" 920,000 dot 'XtraFine TruBlack' high resolution LCD which has a wide viewing angle, high contrast and anti-glare capabilities. Furthermore the HX100V model has an electronic viewfinder (EVF), great for instances when the LCD is difficult to view.
The Sony Cybershot HX100V digital camera is great for both the novice and advanced photographer. Standard automatic modes include, face detection, backlight correction, dynamic range alteration, in camera guides and re-touching. For the more discerning photographer there are many SLR specified manual overrides including aperture, shutter and full manual control. A camera for everyone!
One touch record mode for movie production. The Cyber-shot HX100V has a fantastic full high defintion movie mode (HD 1920 x 1080i, 50P) which will give class leading, cinematic, smooth detailed images. The 30 x optical zoom can be used during movies to aid composition and long distance details.
The HX100V is available in Black in late April 2011.
