>Sony announce several new cameras, and lenses for Winter 2013.

The latest models to be released include new additions to the DSLR, compact system camera and premium compact camera ranges.

The Sony A7 and A7R are two enthusiast "full-frame" models that make the use of the growing E-mount, with greater emphasis on weight and size reduction. The A7 and A7R differ in two aspects, the sensor (A7 has 24 megapixels, A7R has 36 megapixels) and the AA filter (A7R it has been removed). These are some of the first series of cameras offering "full-frame" capability providing outstanding performance with in a relatively diminutive form. With this in mind Sony also announced the introduction of three new e-mount lenses, the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8, Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 and the Sony 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. Both the Sony A7 and A7R will be available later in November with the Zeiss lenses due for release later in the year.

Finally Sony is to launch its most powerful premium compact camera, the DSC RX10. Features a 1" CMOS sensor, 24-200mm fast f/2.8 zoom lens, high resolution tilt-able LCD, electronic viewfinder and an array of manual modes.
