Nikon 17-55mm f2.8G IF-ED DX AF-S Lens

The Nikon 17-55mm ultra fast professional all purpose lens in one of the new generation of DX format lenses specifically designed for digital SLRs. Therefore it is not compatible with 35mm cameras. The equivalent focal length on a 35mm format is 25.5 - 82.5mm.

The lens achieves an suberb optical performance due to the aspherical extra dispersion (ED) glass elements used. It also has the ability to close focus down to 36cm, and gives a smooth ultra fast operation. This is due to the internal focusing mechanism, and the silent wave motor (SWM) employed within. It also comes with the added functionality of a dust / waterproof seal on the mount.
